The activities are uniform for the four-week exposure but our experiences remain diverse. Aside from our Community exposure to help build stronger communities in terms of Health, we also conduct Community-Based research while inside these communities as part of our Master's in Public Health for our MD-MPH program.
Flag Ceremony
Every week begins with a Flag Ceremony, as a patriot of this nation, and as part of our integration into the Municipality of Ipil Workforce, we attend the Flag ceremony and observe nationalistic ceremonial rites. Updates and announcements are also made public during this assembly. This is the part where we introduced ourselves to the whole Municipality of Ipil.

Courtesy Call
After the Flag Ceremony, we are immediately ushered into the new RHU building for an orientation. Our courtesy call begins with Dr. Yrl Phares Martin R. Agbayani, MGADH I (Asst. Municipal Health Officer) and or Dr. Adnilre D. Verzon MGDH I (Municipal Health Officer), for the goal setting and orientation of this exposure. There was also an orientation and update for the DOH programs conducted by the LGU spearheaded by the Rural Health Unit of Ipil.
After the courtesy call with the Municipal Health Officers, and Orientation done, the students proceed to become an audience for a courtesy call with the Honorable Mayor, Anamel C. Olegario, Municipal Mayor of Ipil. This is usually preceeded by a tour of the new Municipal complex at Barangay Sanito.

Data Gathering
As the weeks progressed, we were tasked to gather data, in this case only secondary data was allowed to be gathered in consonance with the guidelines for the safety of the students and for the people as well. These data will be utilized for the conduct of public health researches for the benefit of Ipil, Suclema.
Data gathering activities by the medical students with the help of their respective Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholar, and the Local Government of Ipil, and various Government institutions.
Ocular Survey
Ocular survey was done to determine the geography, living conditions of the people, and therefore a preview of their health determinants.

Animal Bite Treatment Center
The animal bite treatment center caters to treat animal bites most commonly cats and dogs. This is in line with the Rabies Prevention and Control Program by the Department of Health. They also inoculate patients with anti tetanus toxoid vaccine, anti tetanus serum as per guidelines.
The Animal Bite Treatment Center of the Municipality of Ipil is located in the Rural Health Unit and is open from 8am to 5pm on Tuesdays and Fridays only.

COVID19 Vaccination
Following the mandate of the Philippine Government to halt the cases of mortality of the dreaded COVID19 sanctioned by Republic Act No. 11525 also known as "An Act Establishing the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Expediting the Vaccine Procurement and Administration Process, Providing Funds Therefor, and For Other Purposes.
Screening of individuals for innoculation of COVID19 vaccine/booster
We manned the COVID19 vaccination area and helped in the screening of individuals to be inoculated with various brands of COVID19 vaccine.
Barangay Health Station
We had our two-day duty at the Barangay Health Station to help augment the workforce of the Barangay especially in immunizations and prenatal check-ups with the help of the Barangay Health Workers, Human Resource for Health Midwife, and RHU Midwife Assigned to both Barangay Suclema and Taway.
